How are the resources organized?

Resources are organized into four broad categories -- these are the four large boxes on the home page and always available at the top of each page as button choices. Each resource is also tagged to one or more Resource Topics. The four broad categories are:

  • Staying Connected, with links to national and state information sources for disaster news and updates. Looking for a link to the National Hurricane Center? Staying Copnnected gets you there.
  • Planning & Response, with tools and resources to improve all-hazards preparedness planning, as well as information about specific hazards. Looking for a planning guide for LTC centers? This broad category hits the mark.
  • Training & Exercise, with tools, resources and examples for training and exercise, critical to preparedness. Need a scenario for an exercise at your care center? Click on the Training & Exercise broad category box for a wealth of resources.
  • Disaster Recovery, with resources and information for LTC providers seeking guidance to direct recovery or mitigation efforts. Looking for information about water damage? This broad category includes resources on this topic, plus others.
